Beyond - Steppes Travel Festival
Beyond by Steppes Travel is a two-day travel festival, taking place at the Royal Geographical Society on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th September 2016. Featuring some of the most intrepid, adventurous and inspiring personalities of our time in an enlightening programme of weekend events, all with the aim of raising awareness and financial support to Beyond’s charity partners, including Tusk.
Saturday’s theme will be ‘conservation and wildlife‘ with highlights to include naturalist Chris Packham; TV veterinarian Steve Leonard; wildlife photographer, author and TV presenter Jonathan Scott; freediver & ocean conservationist Hanli Prinsloo, and a heavyweight conservation focused panel discussion, which includes Tusk's Executive Director, Dan Bucknell.
Sunday will take the audience ‘Beyond the Ordinary’ with ‘world’s greatest living explorer’ Sir Ranulph Fiennes; National Geographic ‘Adventurer of the Year’ Alastair Humphreys, expedition leader & marine biologist Monty Halls; explorer Benedict Allen; ‘Bird in a Biplane’ Tracey Curtis-Taylor and Edurne Pasaban, the first woman to summit all fourteen 8000 peaks in the world.
Heavyweight Conservationists Tackle Core Issues

This conservation panel brings together leading conservationists to discuss and debate the key issues facing the conservation community. The aim of the panel is to raise awareness of the issues but importantly to resolve to take action. Includes:
