A statement from the Tusk Team

During these uncertain times our thoughts are with everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The crisis will undoubtedly have an unprecedented effect on people, services and economies globally, and Africa is no exception. The inevitable downturn in tourism will impact many areas we work in as jobs, reserves and revenue streams come under threat, and a global economic crisis could significantly affect our funding.

Gashaka-Gumti National Park

Humans and wildlife are inextricably linked. The conservation projects we support provide not just protection for Africa’s wildlife, but livelihoods and wellbeing for thousands, and many benefits to millions by maintaining healthy ecosystems.

Our work funding this vital conservation work goes on and will continue throughout the crisis. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are ready to take targeted action when the greatest and most impactful use of funds becomes clear.

We will continue to keep you updated. Thank you for your ongoing support at this critical time.

The Tusk Team.
