LIONS ON DISPLAY: 10 AUGUST – 27 OCTOBER
The giant pride will be installed on the streets of the Royal Borough, from Windsor to Eton, Ascot, Datchet, Maidenhead and beyond, from World Lion Day on Saturday 10 August. The beautifully decorated lion sculptures will remain in pride of place until 27 October and will then be auctioned to raise funds for charity.
ROAR GOODBYE WEEKEND: 9-10 NOVEMBER
After three months entertaining lion fans of all ages from around the world, the lions will be taken off the streets to be restored by their artists and then gathered together in one giant pride for the ‘Lions Roar Goodbye’ festival on 9-10 November for lion fans to say their final farewells to their favourite lions and any they may not yet have seen, before the charity auction.
CHARITY AUCTION: 21 NOVEMBER
The beautifully decorated lion sculptures will be auctioned in November and 100% of event profits will be donated to local charities, including the new Thames Hospice in Maidenhead, Look Good Feel Better, the Lions Club of Windsor as well as Tusk, supporting lion conservation in Africa.
