Tusk is looking for a creative and passionate Communications and Content Assistant to support our mission amplifying the impact of progressive conservation initiatives across Africa. The role will provide support to Tusk’s integrated communications team, inputting into all of Tusk’s communications, from print, digital and social media, to engagement with the media, supporting our corporate partnerships and importantly raising awareness for our conservation partners on the ground. The communications strategy covers Tusk’s operations and fundraising in both the UK and the US, as well as project activity in Africa.

We need an adaptable and driven individual with experience supporting strategic communications campaigns and in content creation and social media. A passion for the natural world is a bonus!

The role will also provide digital and technical support for the charity’s wider operations and the office and fundraising teams.

Reporting to the Digital Manager you will play a critical role in the success of Tusk’s fundraising events, by helping manage online/virtual fundraising activities, ticket sales, guest lists, and online auction systems. This will entail the manipulation of data (especially in Excel) and the role will require confidence with data management (e.g import/export of .csv), data merging, and reporting. You will also help maintain and develop Tusk’s websites (www.tusk.org and all event and project-specific websites), support Tusk’s CRM database for donors and sponsorship, report on analytics for online channels, and support the small office team where needed.

We are looking for someone with IT knowledge (especially Excel) and digital marketing experience. You should have excellent communication skills and work well in a team.
