BlueTusk Take on The Atlantic Ocean in Support of Tusk

Today a team of three colleagues from Vodafone will embark on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2023 - raising funds for Tusk and the Blue Marine Foundation.

The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is a 3,000 miles, unsupported row, from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to English Harbour in Antigua and Barbuda. The trio will be setting off today, tackling the Atlantic Ocean alongside 37 other teams from across the globe, where each team will row in excess of 1.5 million oar strokes during the race!

Meet the BlueTusk team who are ready to prove that with determination, spirit and togetherness, and with one stroke at a time, the greatest challenges can be overcome:

Chris Wood has an impressive rowing background from racing at university to representing both his Corps and the British Army in regattas across the UK. He’s looking forward to testing himself and being part of a team that will take on the mighty Atlantic Ocean and everything the open sea can throw at them!

David Tiplady is used to pushing his limits from completing in eleven Ironman races and has cycled the length of the UK on three separate occasions. David is looking forward to every moment of being on the ocean and raising money for 2 fantastic charities.

Aaron Kneebone is a former royal marine who has always had a love for action, adventure and challenges! This will be Aaron’s second time taking on the Atlantic challenge.
