Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2022

Thousands of Wildlife Rangers are coming together in the Wildlife Ranger Challenge. On 17th September, over 100 ranger teams will run 21km with 22kg of kit, to raise awareness of the threats facing Africa’s wildlife and the importance of rangers who stand between species and extinction.

A survey conducted by Tusk at the recent Tusk Conservation Symposium found that the top five threats to conservation over the next ten years include habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict and climate change. Rangers are the front line defenders of wildlife, but to meet the scale of the challenge, they must be so much more. And they cannot do it alone.

You can show your support and make a difference to the future of Africa’s wildlife and those who live alongside it. On 17th September 2022, lace up your shoes and run, jog or walk 5km, 10km or 21km in tandem with more than 100 ranger teams across the continent.

So lace up your shoes, hit the trail, and show us that you’re #ForWildlifeRangers
