The Tusk Conservation Awards, in partnership with Ninety One, are an annual reminder of hope. Even against the biggest challenges we face in the natural world, there are conservation heroes who are dedicating their lives to protecting biodiversity and wildlife across Africa. Since inception, we have honoured 55 leaders from 21 African countries, and raised awareness of over 60 threatened species.

Our esteemed panel of judges is seeking to honour three new dedicated and forward-thinking individuals across various career stages, who have made a considerable impact in their field and whose work has the potential to be replicated across the continent.

Innovative, collaborative and inspirational are just a few words to describe our accomplished Tusk Conservation Awards Alumni. Can you help us find the next Tusk Conservation Award winner?  By nominating a colleague, friend or simply someone who inspires you, you could make a difference to the life of an incredible conservationist. Winners will be recognised on a global scale and gain valuable exposure for their organisation and projects, and they will join an elite group of Tusk Awards Alumni, which will allow for future collaboration across the continent with some of Africa’s leading conservationists.

Thanks to the vital support from our sponsors Ninety One, Defender, The Nick Maughan Foundation, and EJF Philanthropies, the winners will also receive a generous grant to ensure they can continue to thrive in their organisation and advance their work.

For further details on the award categories, criteria and how to submit your nominations please visit the Tusk Awards Website, nominations will close of the 12th April 2024
