Tusk London Marathon Runners Smash It!

This year, Tusk had a record number of people running the London Marathon and supporting African-driven conservation.

Edward Ndiritu after running the London Marathon in support of Tusk.

Congratulations to our extraordinary athletes who took to the streets of London yesterday all in support of Tusk, we are extremely proud of you and grateful for all your hard work and fundraising.

This year we had a record 41 people running for us including Edward Ndiritu, Head Anti-poaching Ranger for our project partner Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, who completed the marathon in 3 hour 40 minutes. Felix Ambrose who took part in the Atlantic Row in 2022, as part of the Ambrose Buoys for Tusk, joined us this year as well and completed the marathon in 4 hours and 6 minutes!

Special mention to our fastest runner this year, Will Burrard-Lucas, who completed the marathon in an incredible 2 hour and 54 minutes.

With three weeks to go until fundraising closes, we are thrilled to share that our runners have raised almost £90,000 so far. The money raised will go towards our project partners and help us continue to support communities and wildlife across Africa.

Inspired by this year’s runners, why not run for Tusk in the London Marathon 2025? If you would like to find out more get in touch with hannah@tusk.org.
